MountaineerTom
I wrote that tech article, and forgot to add something, but it hasn't been added to the article yet. Check the end of your lines that go in the filter for o-rings. They should be there and be servicable (not split, cracked, deteriorated, etc). If they are, you can buy replacments at a local auto parts store. One of mine was missing the first time I changed it.
Wingnut
Unless you are really good at getting gasoline smell out of things....Wear a body condom in order to keep the gas that spills off of you and your clothes. Kidding. Just be mindful when pulling those lines out of the filter, it can splash gas in your face, and all down your arms before you can say awwwsh**... CMNTMXR81
How long have you had it on there? If a long time, then you may want to soak the threads in some WD40 a little before actually trying to loosen them. And yes, you will take an octane shower. Chevyfreek
I have changed my fuel filter twice and it is not a big project at all. Just be careful with the fuel lines so yoiu don't bend or crack them. You will get a liitle bit of gas on yourself.
