2004 Tahoe Cargo Shade

The invoice lists the 'Cargo Shade'. When we picked up the truck, we didn't think to look for it, but looking over the invoice it is included. Called the dealer back and informed them that it was not in truck.

The salesman is looking into it, but the preliminary report is that it is not included with the 3rd row seating option on the Tahoe... The indentions in the rear are there for it and the invoice says that it was included. It would work fine with the seats folded or removed.

I told them I wanted the cargo shade that I paid for. Am I right about this? I'm going back by the dealer to check some other Tahoes to see if they have it.

I can see where with the 3rd seat installed that the cargo shade could easily be deleted at the factory. My Tahoe only has two seats and about the only time I use the cargo shade is when I go Christmas shopping each year, to hide the goodies from other eyes, including those of my children!

I was looking at 2004 Tahoes the other day, and I see if you want an LT package, you are forced into the 3rd seat option. Bummer. I have no desire or need for the 3rd seat, as a matter of fact it would be in the way for me and would have to be removed. So why should I have to pay for it.

Man that does stink... I've got a 2000 LT 4x4 Tahoe and I'm so thankful I didn't have to buy the 3rd row...

Cargo shade does not come with the third row seat. But we have used the third seat more than the shade would have been used.

Sucks that you can't get it. Seems like they may as well throw one in if the pockets are there for it.

The Ranger has pockets for a cargo shade, but it never came with one. I don't think they have had them since at least '00, possibly '97, Ford just decided to use the same mold for the rear interior panels though. It isn't a big issue because the rear windows have deep tint (deepest factory tint I have seen).

My point was that it is included on the invoice/sticker. No mention of it being deleted that I can find when you have the 3rd row seats. Have not had the chance to check out ofther new Tahoes to see if they have it or not, but the salesman has said that he would get me one.

Most of the time, we will probably have the seats out of the truck anyway. We will need the storage space when out shopping etc. Really don't know if we would use the shade much either, but if I paid for it....

I think that you are intitled to it. If it was in the invoice you should have it. But in the brocure does it say that the shade cover standard Equp? If so maybe the 3rd row seating replaces some standard equip? Just a thought. But I think you should get it.
