Transmission issue

Hello all, 

 

Im new to the forum and i need some help/advice. I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 2500Hd 6L vortec.

 

well last week i had some issues accelerating. It would rev really high and kind of jump on me and shift hard, so my dad recommended that i drop the pan, change the fluid and filter. I did that and it did Help. But now it downshifts slightly rough and when im slowing down the rpms will keep jumping back and forth between 1000 and 1500 rpm, until im completely stopped. Which i had never noticed it do this before the issues. Its doing well with accelerating and does fine while idling.... am i paranoid? Any suggestions?

Rosie, does the A & P stand for Airframe and Powerplant Tech. ?

If you can have access to a nice scan tool I'd try resetting the adaptive learning and see if it helps any.

 

I tend to drive the trucks kinda "rough" to make them do all sorts of shifting and thinking after I reset those.

Same here, United Airlines. Maintenance Base At San Francisco. Mainly Boeing’s 777.
