Head light switch light up?

Got new switch and only thing that does not light up on it is top of dimmer switch. Is that normal? Or do i have a defective part?

I have a 2004 sierra, original switch, they don't light up either.

I have a 2004 sierra, original switch, they don't light up either.

Generally the bulb inside the switch, they can be purchased online and replaced by removing the switch the from truck, taking the screws off the back and replacing the bulb. It’s pretty straight forward
