2015 GMC Sierra gauge cluster and starting problem

The past couple mornings my 2015 GMC Sierra has been acting strange. When I turn the key the gauge cluster and the radio does not come on and engine will not start the dome lights and the truck ding when the key is in the ignition work as usual. But if I leave the key in ignition switch in the on position the cluster and radio will wake up and allow the engine to start. I will also have an action required telling me to roll down then roll up the driver side window after I get the truck to start. What is causing this? Possibly ignition switch?
