Shift Cable Lever Replaced

Guys,

 

I replaced the below part because the shift lever inside the truck was freely sliding through the gears without engaging.  Once I replaced the below part, the cable will not stay attached.  I am trying not to buy an entire cable because of one end.  Isn't there a bushing or something I can put into the end of the shift cable to resolve.  1998 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado pkg, 5.7.  Can someone give me a link to either Advance, Autozone, Oreilleys, or even Amazon?
