Upgrading IO3 to factory IO5/IO6

Looking to upgrade the IO3 radio in my ‘15 Tahoe.  Anyone ever purchased a IO5 or IO6 from a salvage vehicle? Wondering how the anti theft program will work. Seems like maybe I’ll have to go aftermarket or pay a hefty price. The local dealership was no help.

I was wanting to do the same thing. Have you received any advice' 

I was going to send the salvaged components to https://www.infotainment.com/ for reprogramming to my trucks vin.  I have not been able to find decent salvage io5 or io6
