2001 Silverado steering lurch.

I have a 2001 Silverado that tends to lurch around tight corners and skid the tires like it’s in 4x4. It’s a manual transfer case so I don’t think it can be stuck in 4 wheel.

I have replaced front hubs and axles, also all steering linkage including steering box and gotten a wheel alignment. Still lurches. Tread wear is definitely messed up but it shouldn’t cause it to lurch, in my opinion. Could it be something in the front diff or maybe hubs are staying locked in 2 wheel somehow?

The simple check to see if it's even partly in 4wd (as there are two parts to  being in 4wd, 1) the TC shifted into 4hi/4lo, and 2) the front axle being locked), is to reach under the driver's side of the truck and try to spin the front driveshaft.  If you can spin it by hand, then both you are fully in 2wd mode.
