PyroTeKniX Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 (edited) Anyone else have an issue where the brightness while using Apple CarPlay is through the roof? It’s washed out during the day and annoyingly bright at night. I have it set for dark mode and have tried turning the dimmer switch down to the point where I can’t even see my dash and it’s still too bright. It’s only like this with Apple CarPlay open though, if I go back to the radio or normal infotainment screens it’s fine. Edited December 28, 2019 by PyroTeKniX
ShamrockShooter Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 No idea. Sounds weird. Android Auto seems to be same brightness as regular GM displaySent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
Milleam Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Multiple posts on this forum about this. To my knowledge there is no solution. Along with all the issues of back up cam brightness, the infotainment system needs some work
romclean1 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Apple CarPlay screen is crazy bright in my truck as well, I always have to turn down brightness to use CarPlay at night. Overall the system does work pretty well, BUT when you are in CarPlay mode, the automatic display of cameras during parking etc doesn’t work. The system should flip back to the GM camera page but it doesn’t.
Carows Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 I have finally found out how to adjust the brightness on your Chevy Silverado. If you have year 2020 on up I don’t know any years older that have the same set up. But this is what you do. Turn your truck on, then turn it off with out getting out your car display should still be on. Go to apple car play you will notice the bright screen. Now on your left side of your steering wheel above your your headlight module you see your cluster gauge plus and minus. Hit the minus button and watch your display screen brightness go down. I just figured this out today. And it works. Let me know if this works for you guys!!
