Tire cleareance on 97 Yukon

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,  I am a new GM owner and first time poster although scouring the forums for information in the past.    I recently purchased a 97 Yukon 4wd with some very worn tires with the intentions of replacing them right away.  At first I didn't mind the stock 245/75R16 but as time goes on I feel like that size just looks a little small and I think I would like to go a little bigger.  However, I have no intentions of lifting it or doing any modifications to make a larger tire fit.  So which size tire is the largest you can go with full functionality with no issues of rubbing?

I apologize in advance if this has already been asked on the forums and I have overlooked it.

Thanks for the help!

Should be able to go with a 265/70/16 no problem.

The tire will be 1.1in larger and .8in wider.
