Fluid amount

We just changed the transfer case on our 2003 Chevy 3500k and was wondering how much fluid to put back into it. Some sites say 2 3/4qt others say it will hold 4.4qts. Which is correct

It's about 2 quarts.  The level is right when it just comes out the fill port.

Gas or Diesel?  What TC, .Identification: check tag on case.

 

Could be either 4 pints or 4.4 pints depending on what TC (4 used) is in the vehicle.
