No power to driver side rear door on 07 gmc sierra extended cab

Chase870simmons

Question

Me and my dad were replacing speakers in my 07 gmc sierra, which the window regulator was supposed to have been bad or the tech at the dealership said it was, anyway we found that theres no power to the that door at all we checked for power at the speaker connector and nothing. Any diagnosis/fixes or maybe something we should check?

Power at the speaker connector?  You mean you don't get any sound with a good speaker hooked up to the wires?

There's a connector just inside the cab near where the wiring harness goes through the door jam, that may have come unplugged, or perhaps the harness was damaged in the door jam area (possibly due to flexing over the years).

You could try doing continuity testing on the harness.
