Screen too bright in reverse

I just picked up a 2017 Denali 3500 and see that some other people have complained about this issue, but don't find any resolution if there is one.  

 

As most of you have likely noticed when shifting to reverse the back up camera comes on then the screen goes to max brightness.  At night it is blinding to the point I cannot see anything except for what is on the screen.  Even with the brightness dial adjusted all the way down it is still too bright.  Anyone have any ideas on how to decrease the brightness?  I have looked in the infotainment system and find no options for turning down screen brightness.

There is a service bulletin for it. The dealer can reprogram so it’s not as bright. I had mine done and is much better.
