Seat Warmer Wiring

Bought a 2005 Tahoe in 2008 and had the dealer install heated seats as part of the deal. Appears from some research that from the factory the switch would be on the door but instead they wired up toggle switches by the traction control button. The drivers toggle no longer lights up and the seat heaters won't come on. After checking things out underneath the seat I found a loose red wire. Appears to be a two wire red and white bundle. The white wire of the bundle looks to be grounded by screw to the channel but I am not seeing anything obvious for where this red wire came from. There are about two inches of bare untwisted wire. Thought maybe it pulled out of a connector but with that much stripped I am not sure. Since they wired it to the switch in the dash did they just jury-rig the wiring to the  the seat warmers directly you think? Maybe they are not even OEM warmers if they wired to switches in the dash? I am assuming there is just power and ground from the switch to the warmers?

Found these on ebay so I think it was just a 3rd party seat warmer kit. Now that gives me a little better idea for where to look. Will report back what I find

It was the red wire running to the dash. I think it wore from seat movement. Found the other end under the console and spliced them back together. All good now
