First time post. Hopefully this hasn’t been covered but from what i have seen I don’t think it has. I have a free trans case from an 01 Silverado. My 09 is in need of a trans. I know the wiring and bell housing are different but is this something I can swap from old to new during the rebuild? Both 4 wheel drives and both Behind 5.3 engines. Been scouring the Internet and cant seem to find an answer to that.

no, you can't interchange parts except for maybe some bearings but you should be using new ones anyway
