does "the Tornado" and all of those "throttle body spacers" out there actually work? and they also have that insert that fits into your thottle body. does any of this stuff actually change the performance of your vehicle? and if so then why don't i just put all three of the systems on my truck?

those products are wonderful inventions...just like the people that made millions of dollars buying cheap real estate then selling it for a 1000% profit, and they will tell you how to do it with their infomercial. If it's so great why tell everyone and flood the market?

i really like the infomercial where they take off the oil filter and drive around for hours. I could save hundreds on oil if i just spent 50$ on Zmax.

I like those air spinners" sooooo much I've got one of each stacked in the intake tract. I, even, put a Tornado in each exhaust pipe plus one before and one after each catalylic converter. Also, I added one to each head light and, low and behold, the lights got brighter. They're amazing little critters. Anyone tried putting then on your hub caps yet?

What is quite revealing is that you have products marketed that:

 

1. Alter the intake airflow to add swirl.

 

2. Alter the intake airflow to straighten flow and remove turbulence.

 

Both claim HP and fuel economy improvements.

 

 

Is it realistic to think that engine designers that spend a fortune on computer modelling and simulation of intake manifolds, heads, valves and cylinder effects on combustion are outdone by some made-for-tv-sales device?

It's pure snake oil. If this was a good way to increase hp/gas-mileage/torque/sex-appeal it would be molded right into the intake manifold when manufactured.
