00' Sierra 2/4 drop?

I am going to lower my Sierra 2/4" do i need a pinion shim or carrier bearing spacer being an extracab, I know on my S-10 (xtracab) i used a 2degree shim, which cured the vibration!! just thinking ahead....

I think ya will with anything over 3" of drop in the rear, my 4/6 DJM kit came with the carrier bearing spacer
