A new and different brake issue.

okay so basically I'm getting along travel issue when I initially touch the brake I feel the pads touch the rotor as you would expect but as I'm applying more pressure the travel in the pedal is not proportionate to the amount of clamping that's occurring on the brakes.

now up here in Alaska you have to drive a bit differently, everybody does the speed limit even on snow and ice and slick roads. (45-55mph)

the way that you don't die / crash is when you see the light turned yellow you apply the brakes hard initially to transfer the weight to the front tires so that way they don't skid and then as you come to closer to the light you remove pressure to keep them from locking up.

This requires you to have the ability to fine-tune your braking pressure. As ABS up here doesn't do anything to help you.

so this is what happens when I go to slow down for a red light, I initially touch the brake you can feel the pads touch and then I apply more pressure and nothing's happening and I continue to apply more pressure and nothing's really changing we're slowing down at the same rate then I'm getting too close to the light so then I have to apply a much more pressure and then all the sudden right at about 3/4 to the floor the brakes will bite and you'll come to a sudden stop.

can anybody decode what the hell these codes mean? I don't really like the fact that the dealer won't let me stay in the loaner until they handle his brake issue as more than a couple times now, since it's sort of unpredictable about how it's going to behave, I've gotten way closer to other vehicles than I'm comfortable with. The loaner they gave me was a 2019 custom 4X4 4.3 (honestly didn't realize it was a v6 till I checked the emission sticker)with convenience package. It's brakes worked correctly.89d820a569f2dc04cf370faf62d28894.jpg

also I set my parking brake every time before I shut my truck off so I don't really understand how that's going to help when this has been the behavior with me doing what they say to do.
