2017 Sierra 1500 4.3 Radiator leaking

Hi, I've got a 2017 Sierra 1500 with 57k miles and found that my radiator has a slight leak (could smell coolant occasionally and coolant level was down below min mark). My mechanic took a look at it and said it was leaking from top right passenger side. This sounds very similar to the recall on the 14-16 models. Anyone have this issues and had it covered? My powertrain warranty goes to 60k so I'm almost there.
