Has anyone figured out a way to keep the running lights on when using a turn signal? I dont know why they go out given the seperation they have.

DOT rules. And at a distance (like 70mph oncoming) can be hard to see a signal with the DRLs

Yeah see that.  They can be seperate if more than 100mm apart or the turn signal is 2.5 time the brightness.  Im asking if anyone has modded this so it doesnt go off. I plan on putting brighter LED's in there at some point, so perception shouldn't be a issue at distance.

I have yet to see anybody do so. I'm sure you could rewire them to a switched power source that what they are on whenever the ignition is on.
