Center Cab Bolt

Has anyone run into an issue when installing aftermarket step bars with the Center Frame Bolt just spinning but will not come out or tighten? How would I proceed? I have taken the factory plug and can see the nut holding the bolt but the socket will NOT fit all the way down, any help would be appreciated.. TYIA

That nut should be welded to the body, but has broken free.  You likely need to cut an access hole, then weld the nut back down (I would suggest getting a new nut and welding that in, note, just a generic metric nut, dealer won't have it as a part "Not sold separately, you need to buy a new cab"), then close up the access port if necessary.
