2004 Silverado manual shift issues

Hello experienced GM people,

 

I have a 2004 Silverado work truck with a stick shift.

 

I find that the clutch bites very low and I am grinding gears. It's also awkward to find reverse when starting off.

 

Is this

a) my lack of practice with Stick shift

b) the clutch needs work

c) the gearbox is screwed

 

I look forward to preferably good advice.
