LT trail boss push to talk not working

just traded my 2015 silverado in of a 2020 LT Trail Boss. Love it. So only have noticed one issue so far that i dont know if its user error, a setting or defective. 

 

So on my steering wheel like my old truck i have the Push To Talk button along with the end call button. So attempted to make a phone call on way home and whenver i push the PTT button nothing happens. Bluetooth is connected and working. I can dial from my phone or from the 8" touch screen. I also noticed i can end calls though from the steering wheel. Attempted this numerous times and I don't even get the prompt or anything like usual. 

 

I find it odd that my push to talk button doesnt do anything. I looked in the settings and couldn't find anything to change. 

 

Have anyone had this issue? Next steps taking it to dealer but wanted to reach out here first in case it was simple.

I don’t have a Silverado yet but in my 2018 Colorado ZR2 I have to press and hold the button down for it to work... not sure if that helps.
