Someone backed into the front of my 2015 Suburban LTZ two weekends ago, damaging the lower part of the front bumper.  It must have damaged a park assist sensor because that won't turn on (the light just flashes a few times) and now and I'm getting the "Service - Park Assist System" message pop up on the dashboard display.  What's odd though is when I put it in reverse, I get a message on the main screen at the top of the rear camera video that says "Rear Parking Assist Symbols Unavailable."  Is the whole system inter-connected or is it just because of the damage to the front sensor won't allow me to turn on the entire park assist system?  I'm just trying to figure it out before the insurance company comes out to do their inspection.

I believe Park Assist is a single system.  Front and rear sensors are part of the same system.  Symbols are the three sets of lines that show how close you are to something when parking and change color the closer you get.  The blind spot warning triangles are not part of the park assist I don’t think.  For insurance it is a single interconnected system, again, I think.  Good luck.
