hi there,

i'm having a problem deciding whether to go for a 2000 Denali 5.7L or a 2000 Yukon/Tahoe 5.3L. The 2000 Denali's are based on the previous body type, while the Yukon's and Tahoe are from the newer generation. I've never owned either, so i thought maybe someone here can help me if the changes made (4wheels dics, stiffer body...) are actually more rewarding than the Denali's luxury appeal.

thank you

My aunt has a 2000 Escalade that I have driven on occasion. The ride is very nice and comfortable in it. Much better than 4-door Tahoes of the same platform. My brother's wife drives a 2002 Tahoe Z-71 and it performs well and handles well but the ride can be a little rough. I just installed a DVD system in my friend's 2003 Yukon 4x4. It had a very refined feel and wasn't as harsh as the Z-71. If you are talking about 2000 models on both it would be a close call. I would personally rather have the 2000 Denali than a 2000 Tahoe, but that's just me.

Also, don't get hung on the 2000 model year on the Denalis. The 99s are identical and you might save a few bucks on on a 99 over a comparable 2000.
