Color Code?

Where do i find the color code for the exterior paint on a '97 Yukon? I looked in the glovebox, on the driverside door, and by the spare tire, but no dice. I also looked in the manual that came with the truck and i can't find it there either. I have to paint my bumper, and me and a buddy looked at all the color choices in a book of GM factory paints at the local parts store. We picked the one that matched, but when we painted the bumper it was WAY too light. But as it is all we can do is try to match the paint up with what my truck is just by eyeing it. So i need to go back and try getting something darker and try again. Let me know if you can point me in the right direction.

What color is it?

When I picked out the fiberglass cap for my truck, they gave me 6 colors of Light Pewter to choose from...

It is on the same sticker as the RPOs

The paint code should be on the bottom of the RPO sticker in the glovebox. It will start off with a "WA" and then a number like 9245 or 526F.

This will be the paint code. There are some vehicles that don't have a WA number on the tag, though. In this case, the number will be in the rows of codes, it will be the number that ends with "U" or "L". 51U, for example is Dark Toreador Red.

If all else fails, find a paint store that has a camera that they can take a picture of the paint and generate a formula.
