Just bought a 2020 Silverado and assumed it had XM in it. Well it did not. After the sale, the sales guy said he would have it put in at no charge. So they ended up putting an aftermarket XM kit in from VAISTECH. Not nearly as good as factory XM.  Long story short, this XM module needs a USB connection, namely the only USB-A connection in the truck that has communication capabilities with the radio. It is on the center stack under the radio. So now I have this god awful cable coming out from under my dash and going to this USB-A plug. My question is... Is there a way to add an additional USB-A connector that I can hide up behind the dash to plug this XM module into to his the cable and still use the USB-A connector in the dash for android auto etc? I would like to know also if anyone knows where the harness terminates for this adapter. Yes I know about the USB-C connector.. I want this cable hidden behind the dash if possible. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance, Brett

Infortainment.com has the whole XM setup you want where you add the XM module so it's like your truck came with the XM from the factory...It's somewhat pricey, but if you want the XM I think it's worth it...Check it out on there website

I think this is the one that I need. The dealer had the VAIS aftermarket kit installed to remedy this, and it is TERRIBLE!!  I just wonder if the antenna harness is already in the truck because of the Onstar or if I actually have to order the harness with the module? I see that one can get the xm module for around $225 bucks at any GM parts warehouse, but I am sure it needs to have special programming done. If they program it to my vin, it won't have XM enabled? I am wondering if the harness is necessary or unnecessary without tearing the truck apart to find out? Can anyone verify if the harness is already in the vehicle? Also verify where this module needs to go? Behind passenger front kick panel? Thanks guys!!
