2020 8 speed transmission

Hello all,

 

I’m a little confused as I just dropped my 2020 Sierra with 280 miles off at the dealership. Received a check engine light and notice to service ESC, engine loosing power warning. I know about the 8 speed shudder/ shift problems however I thought dealerships fixed this issue with a tranny flush and new fluid. Has anyone else with a new 20 model experienced this?

ESC (Electronic Stability Control) is of no relation to the transmission.  Fortunately, all indications are that GM did fix the 8 speed transmission and I have heard VERY little from anybody with a 2020 year model truck having the same issues as past models.  There will obviously be some eventually, no transmission manufacturer is perfect, but the solution seems to be solid and working so no need to worry with your 2020.
