I have a 2016 Sierra 1500 with a 5.3 with an 8 speed transmission and I have been experiencing a vibration lately. It feels like running over small rumble strips and it is intermittent. I have had the tires checked and they are all fine. I also thought about a wheel bearing but it is not making a noise like a bearing. I let a mechanic drive it today and he tells me I need to take it to the dealer. He says that it has torque converter shake. I have never heard of a problem like that but he told me that some 8 speed transmissions have that problem. He also told me that a flush would only be a short fix for it. Have any of you guys had this problem and what did you do to fix it? Any info. will be appreciated.
