As the title states, im getting intermittent service lights on my 2015 Silverado. They usually start in about 30-60 sec after start up. Most of the time its service trailer brake but it common to have more pop up. They come on just long enough to alert then go off. I noticed that the voltage guage drops at the same time and sometimes the other guages drop as well. I'll try to attach a video of the issue. It also appears to happen more when I put the truck in gear. This just effect the dash readout. The engine doesn't hiccup, no issues with the radio, hvac, back up camera, or lights.

The dealer just charged me $1000 to change the battery and 3 battery cables and said it was fixed. They found a 130 milliamp drop in the cables which they said took out the battery and caused the problems. They were wrong.

I also checked the ground wire by the drivers side A pillar and there didn't appear to be an issue there.

Any of you have this happen or can lead me in the right direction of a fix before I throw away more money?

I've seen this pop up on the forums a few times, but I also experienced it personally on my previous 2014 silverado.  To fully resolve it, all three modules under the rear bumper had to be replaced.  Two were done under warranty, and a third I had to pay for.  But until all three were replaced, the issue kept coming back.

First was under warranty, then no more than a day later the issue came back "service trailer brake" or something.  After those two modules were replaced no issues for a year.

Then it happened again, and I had to have one of the modules replaced again, I think are $300 or so.  It's been a while so I apologize for not being very specific.

Thanks for the reply. Did yours display service airbag or other codes too? I'll look into the trailer brake modules tomorrow when its light outside.

Nope, nothing about air bags or other codes, just the service trailer brake system message
