robstitzer Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Anyone else having this issue? When I have my phone plugged in, using Carplay... if I use the steering wheel controls to skip a song or the hard keys below the screen to skip a song.. this is the message I get. "Action Unavailable While Indexing." ... It's been happening since I got the truck and will happen 95% of the time. Ever so often it lets me skip songs, but at a terrible delay.
Moend Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 (edited) Does it happen on all apps, spotify, pendora, etc. Or does it happen on locally saved songs. Apple product is a nightmare to work with everything is proprietary and funky.(from an interface prospective, not end user) It looks like the truck is unable to read your music indices. If you are using an app, I would start by clearing out the cash. Not sure if that feature of available on iPhone Good luck Edited November 24, 2020 by Moend

I have music on my phone, as well as music in the "cloud" in my apple music. I can skip songs by touching the next and back buttons on the screen, but if I use the steering wheel buttons on the back to skip songs that's the message I get. .. Very odd and frustrating!
Moend Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Sounds like the buttons are not communicating proparly, you should have the dealer software
Takeit2thelimit Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 I have the same sue using Apple CarPlay. Did you ever get a resolution for this????
FiatDale Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Same issue, not on my 2019, but on my 21 Tahoe. Takes about 5-10 minutes to "index". Although we had the same issue on our 16 Tahoe with carplay as well. I think its an Apple issue vs. truck issue. Definitely annoying because you cant change songs, forcing you to open your phone and do it that way.
