The other day I noticed that after the Chevy mylink image came up on the screen following turning my truck on, the screen went blank. Screen switches to back up camera when truck is placed in reverse. Some text popped up after being on for a while saying "initializing" and then "update failed." Dealership wants to charge $200 just to look at the truck so I am hoping to get my answer here. I have attached photos of what I saw. Thank you for your help!

Same thing happened to my truck. Dealership told me that it can cost up to 5000 dollars (canadian) worst case scenario and there's no guarantees. I ended up buying an aftermarket alpine stereo built for our trucks for 1500 bucks off eBay. ( brand new its 4500) Some people have had luck with unplugging and replugging in the connectors behind there glovebox to their hmi module or pulling the fuse for 20 minutes and plugging back in. Didnt work for me but it's a good place to start.

So I know I'm late to this, but I have the same problem in my 2015 Silverado

Did you ever find a fix for this?? I took it to the dealer and they were dumbfounded and wanted to charge me $500 to look into it more.
