2004 5.3 gas/brake Pedal Vibration

Hello,

 

I have a 2004 Silverado 1500 and recently noticed a slight vibration under any acceleration on the gas and brake pedal and (possibly) a slight loss in power. The same day Service Brake Booster display popped up on the dash and a CEL for knock sensors popped up the next week. I have parked the truck till it gets repaired however, I would like to know if the vibration I'm getting from the pedal is due to a compressor or something linked to the brake system. It's not like the feeling of bad rotors, it almost feels like the vibration from a compressor pulling air.

I've tried checking vacuum lines but found no damage (I am NOT a mechanic, just tried using common sense to no avail)

Any guidance is much appreciated as I don't want to be throwing unnecessary money at the old girl while in this, financial climate.
