I have a 2020 2500HD.  I purchased the rear wheel liners from the dealer.  My question is how do I remove the retainers that hold on the rear wheel opening molding? The dealer told me that you use a flat bladed plastic tool to release the retainers.  Has anyone done this?  What did the plastic tool look like?  How difficult was it?  Thanks for your help.

Sorry but...........

Are you in over your head if you can't remove the retainers?

Have you removed the retainers that are under the rear wheel molding on a 2020 2500HD?  I'm just looking for some tricks from someone that has done it.  Thanks

I changed out the fender flare running lights which required rear flare removals. You can get to a few from the back side, some can be popped with a panel popper and some I couldn't get to at all (broke those). I found replacements on Amazon though.

I believe the fender flares with the running lights are different from those without running lights. Those without running lights cannot be accessed from the back side. Thanks

No I haven't removed this part, but over 50 years of Getter Done works for me.

Remove the screws at the bottom front and bottom rear of the molding that hold what I'll call mud flaps.  Once the screws are removed, pull the mud flaps off. Then grab the molding at top center and pull - it pops right off without any tools needed. You will probably break two or three of the small plastic clips but they're replaceable. The clips are not really accessible from the inside of the fender anyway, so there isn't much other choice on removing the molding. There is recent a post on this site that gives a source for new clips on Amazon for about $15.00 for 25 clips.
