Temporary wheels for 2018 Tahoe

Recommended Posts

Hi guys - I have a 2018 Tahoe with 4 months left on the lease.  It has 22 inch factory rims and the tires are right at the required 4/32nds needed to pass inspection.  There is a set of 16 inch Factory rims and tIres on Craigslist off a 2003 Tahoe.  Will these work such that I don’t need to spend $1000+ on the 285/45R22s?

Nope.

They won't fit over the brake calipers.

You said it's a lease, so you don't need to have the worlds greatest tires on it. There are many tires out there that are cheap for 22's. You can get into a set for $480 to $600 plus install.

Just look on ebay or other online tire sellers. You don't have to spend $250 a tire if you don't need too.

See, look at these.

Or even these.

I see tons of people where I live running Achilles and Sailun Tires on these big rims.
