L5P Winter grill cover

When I bought my 2019 L5P I did not get a winter cover for the front grill, are these still needed anymore for these engines? I live in southern Canada were it does get cold but not to bad. Not sure if this is just something for the older diesels. Thanks!

I think my cover was under the back seat by the jack when I got my 2018 Denali. Should be on window sticker too.

If your in one of the areas that doesn't get below 0*F (or at least not often) then you won't need one.

(but the truck should have included one) 

Won't need to use the block heater either. (they all shipped with the block heater cord tucked up under passenger side battery) 

 

 

Canadian order guide for 2019 shows:

V10    Cover, 1-piece, covers radiator grille and front bumper openings for diesel engines in winter weather
1 -  Included and only available with (L5P) Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine. 

 

 

The US guide for 2019:

V10         Cover, 1-piece, covers radiator grille and front bumper openings for diesel engines in winter weather
1 -  Requires (L5P) Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine and is required on orders with "Ship To" locations within the following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Alaska, Idaho, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Michigan, Colorado and New York.
