Cruise control not working

Hey guys, I currently have a 2015 Sierra Denali and since i got it (4 months) i haven't been able to use cruise control. It does turn on and it shows the white icon on the dashboard but whenever i try to set it to whatever speed it does nothing. I know the icon has to turn green along with the speed is set up too. The truck does not have the factory magnaride shocks in front and thats about as far as i can think is the problem but i have not found anything online about it. I know it limits the speed if they are not connected but don't know if the suspension error has to do anything with cruise control. I read their is not a fuse for cruise control and that in previous models you could replace the brake switch but some users have tried it and didn't work. Any suggestions are helpful.  I do have to go to the dealership to get the recall on the brake pedal, maybe that is the problem, will ask them if they know something.
