Lost to a Civic!

Yeah thats right....kinda made me wanna

I see this newer Civic when I'm drivin around town in my 98 2Dr Tahoe....its got the typical big fart can also an AEM window sticker....so obviously the guy has an exhaust and intake. So he tries to get passed me once we take off from an intersection so I gun it and he tries to keep up but he can't. We come up to another light and I figure, what the hell, and we go for it again. I hesitated off the line so he got me a bit there but when I floored it we were exactly neck and neck until about 80 and he started gaining and had his door at my headlight when I let off the gas. I couldn't believe it!! I've smoked Civics left and right....so he musta had some more going on under the hood....still a sad, sad day....

Don't take it too hard. I feel your pain, ok well I haven't in a while, but I have before. Just run over him next time or something.

That's exactly what I figured.....he may have beat me by a few mere feet...but I can still run him over!!! Bwahahaha

Remember you have no top end because of the gearing they love top end. I have a worked suburban running 14.7 in the quater but I beat trans am ws6's up to 80mph and then run right by me because I have 4:10's. It's all in the gearing but there is no reason for you to lose against a civic!!!!

What engine do you have? I have a XL with 8100 and 4:10 . Could one pull me ?

I've got the 5.7...not sure what my gearing is though....whatever is stock for a 98 2dr Tahoe. But yeah....I was thinkin that too "there's no reason I should lose to a Civic" which is why I figured he had to of had some decent work done under the hood....especially since I've beat many Civic's previously.....just quite a blow to my truck's ego ;) haha
