Coinciding with the announcement that the National Guard would sponsor the #16 Roush Ford, Sam Belnavis announced his team is now “dormant.”

Belnavis was the only full-time Cup owner who was also a minority; apparently the deal with the Guard included his joining Roush as Director of Diversity Programs.

In a way, that's to bad since they were starting to have some good runs towards the end of the season.
