Has anyone went from bench to console? I know there is power and air vents in the consoles. I am looking at getting a new 1500 and cant seem to find an elevation with the diesel and a center console. There are a bunch of bench seats out there. I assume the factory builds them to be interchangeable for manufacturing sake.

Thanks

Hey man, there are a few threads on this topic. I recently did it myself with the help of another user on here. He sent me a spreadsheet with part numbers, however some have changed. I ran into a few problems with the order and it's been a pretty frustrating process, but I think it's been worth it. The actual execution of putting the console in wasn't difficult at all. The only suggestion I would have is make sure the truck has the plug ins for the center console harness. I have a 2020 Custom Trail Boss and I am going to have to tap into existing wires somehow.

Very easily done. 4 Torx screws for each seat, then 4 bolts for the console. Vents and harness just plug right in from the jump seat models. You can part it out and order everything online, but it's much easier just to look on Car Part and try to find one as they come available. It'll run you about $500 vs $900-1200. If you have a model with rear seat USB's, the harness plugs right in and the rear USB's work just fine but the inside USB's won't work. If you don't have a model with power, none of the rear USB's or console LED light will work unless you tap into a fuse somewhere.

Very easy. Hardest part is finding a console.
