8x180 Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Has anyone purchased or made a screen to protect the radiator from rocks and bugs etc...? The grill on either GM truck looks to offer little to no protection.
Earl Cordova Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 The problem with that idea is it would restrict the flow of air to the radiator too much when it is really hot out.
8x180 Posted April 5, 2021 Author Posted April 5, 2021 (edited) That would depend on what you use but my Volvo semi truck came from the factory with a screen behind the grill so I am certain something could be used on a pickup. IMG_4908.HEIC Edited April 5, 2021 by 8x180
InTrouble Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 Check out bug screens / winter covers at Custom Truck Winter Fronts - Custom Truck Bug Screens (gofia.com) I installed part # WF 921-44 on my 2020 Chev 3500HD gas. Used the Stick-a-stud system, took awhile to figure out placement but worked out well. I had used the same manufacturer and stud system on previous truck 2010 Chev 2500 gas. Fia makes a good product and worked well over the years on previous truck with NO overheating I expect the same with the 2020.
