Here is where you want to ask this question. https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/forum/3-1999-2013-silverado-sierra-1500/

The new layout here makes it almost impossible to find the correct place to be.

That said, a RPO ( Regular Production Option) is just that;  an OPTION

Factory "normally installed" parts on base engines are NOT options, just base replacement parts.

The 5.3 was the standard engine, so you would pursue a standard replacement pump.

You could go to GMPARTSDIRECT.com and search for a new one from GM $$ if you want too.

I cant find the fuel pump RPO for my 2001 Silverado 1500 5.3

The fuel pumps don't necessarily have an RPO code attached to them.

The fuel pump part # will vary based on engine in the truck, fuel tank size, certain emissions codes and if its flex fuel or not so there are RPO codes (engine, emissions, etc) that can determine what fuel pump is in the truck.  The fuel pump itself however does not have an RPO code to say "its this pump".

Do you have the last 8 of your VIN number?

Appreciate the reply. However, I found my pump this morning and the truck runs fine now.
