looking to purchase truck

Currently have a 2004 silverado 1500 crew 4x4. Looking to upgrade to something newer. Have about a hour drive round trip to work 6 days a week so looking for something that gets decent MPG and not wanting to spend over $30,000 while still getting a low mile truck. Had a few options/questions....

 

1. What is the cheapest monthy lease everyone has been getting on the new silverado 1500 w/ no money down and what mpg do they get approx?

 

2. For the 2014-2018 silverado 1500 with v8 - what mpg have you been getting and is it much better than the 04 i have mpg to warrant the upgrade?

 

3. 2011-2013 silverado 1500 hybrid - I have seen a few of these around for sale with lower miles and decent price - what kind of mpg do these get and are there any issues?

 

I have a 5,500 lb travel trailer I pull 5 or 6 times a year and side by side a few times through the year. Other than that, general towing and commuting to work. Thanks

If I just cruise my truck to the cabin, do a little running around and come back home I have zero problem getting an avg around 20mpg during that trip. On just about any trip that is freeway miles I'm always getting over 20mpg no problem.

 

My truck is a 5.3 with the 6 speed auto.

 

I would avoid anything hybrid, they are a ****** to work on and parts are very hard to come by for certain things and they will cost a ton of money. It's not like a toyota prius, camry or something like that hybrid where they made a million of them already, there aren't many hybrid full size trucks out there.
