Steering Column Cruise Control

Hey all, 

 

I have a 2017 Work Truck that came with cruise control, the basic instrument panel, and a plastic steering wheel.  
 

I just swapped in a telescoping leather unit from a 2017 LT (entire steering column).  
 

Everything works besides the cruise control (and the menu navigation buttons on the right side of the wheel - Don't care about these).  
 

Does anyone know if the problem is that I'm still running the old, basic instrument panel?  
 

on the new column's wiring harness, there's a little black plug (female connector) that didn't have anything to connect with on my truck; right where the airbag and BCM harnesses' wires part ways
