Due to lower back issues I need to lower my stock round nerf bars or add a lower drop step.  I cannot seem to find a good solution, any ideas from anyone out there?

Same back issues

So I'm having a welder add 4" to the bottom of the mounting brackes then drill new holes @ 2" &  4" below the current holes.

My 2004 2500hd may be different than your unit.

If you find something, please let me know.  I suspected that some aftermarket company would come up with brackets to do just that, especially for the more popular bars on the side, but I haven't found any.  I was also thinking about adding another set of steps, and bolt them to the bars I have.  Mine has the Magnum steps on the sides, but they're still pretty high, and I was thinking there must be a way to lower them.  I just got this truck with 6" lift, and my wife is having trouble getting up into it.  I want her to be comfortable being able to get in and out, since she may be driving it some.  Even lowering it a few inches would help.  I'm probably also going to go will slightly smaller tires, since I'll need to change them soon, too, which should lower it a little, as well.

I'd actually be happiest if I could take off the lift, or swap with someone local who wants it, along with the 17x11 wheels and 33" tires traded for stock.  I'm mostly going to use the truck for towing, so don't need it so high.  I also think it would ride better that way.
