AMP Research Powerstep XL problem

I recently installed a set of AMP Research Powerstep XL running boards.  They work great, and more importantly, my wife can get in/out of the truck now without a step stool.

 

But, since installing them the Auto Start feature no longer works - has anyone else come across this problem, or have any idea how to fix it?

Do you mean remote start? If so, it should be unrelated unless some wires got crossed.
