I spent many years working off road in all kinds of terrain. In hilly terrain I’d go to 4WD Lo with my foot on the brake. I wouldn’t trust any other way. For highway with the cruise control on maintaining speed going down hill it’s a great feature. Off road I’m doing it manually, things can get out of hand too quickly to trust electronics. That’s the whole point though being engaged manually. It’s like being a passenger drag racing, no fun in that.
