3500 x31 vs regular 4x4

Curious if anyone can tell me the difference in suspension between a regular 4x4 and the x31 package? 
 

I know different shocks and skid plates but anything else? 
 

how does the ride compare and is there any difference in overall height?

Rancho shocks, it’s one of the several packages that includes skid plates, and hill descent control. 
 

The shocks are ok but not great - ride quality could be better. I plan to replace mine with Bilsteins pretty quickly. The reason to buy this package is if you want hill descent control.  I bought it, but it’s questionable whether I’ll actually ever use hdc on a crew cab long bed truck.

so your talking 4x4 vs 2x4.  If thats the case 2x4s tend to sit a little lower, should be a lighter vehicle,  smoother to drive and get better mpg.

 

With that said unless its a work truck I would never buy a truck without 4x4, resale etc.

 

But if your talking about the non Z71 4x4,  I dont think you will really tell the difference much.
