"Flow Bench Fallacies"

Port velocity is the most important part of head flow.

You can put small port heads on a 454 Chevy with a

750 Carb. and produce more touque at lower rpm

than you ever could with large port heads and a 1050.

We spent a lot of money on expensive parts back in

the 70's that actually ran slower on the quarter than

our old passenger oval ports with a stock tock Holley 750.

You can go to Reher & Morrison's web site and read

several of David Reher's articles. He is one of the smartest

people I have ever seen when it comes to the Chevy

racing engine.
