If anyone has the technical knowledge to tell me how to power up the tank fuel pump to prime the fuel rails after hi-pres pump replacement and injector work (don't need to know to turn on the key for for priming, as that only runs the pump for a few seconds).  Old days, used to be able to power, jumper, at the fuel pump relay, but that does not work with these new vehicles.  Its a 2014 Silverado w/ 5.3 and automatic.  The key-on prime is not long enough to get it fully primed and pressurized.

Is there an easy way to give the fuel pump some power?  Key word - easy.  Thank you.

On vehicles with fuel pump control modules, it's not as easy. A scan tool with bi-directional controls could do it or just crawl under the truck and try to reach the fuel pump connector to apply power to it.

I usually just prime the pump with the key like 5-10 times, that will build up plenty of fuel pressure and that is the quickest way.

Problem with using the key-on method is there is some timer built into the system that doesn't allow the fuel pump to run if you try it a second time.  I don't know the length of time before it allows the pump to run again with another key-on...
